Intercultural communication and cultural adaptation

Upon completion of this topic, you will be able:

1)      to recognize cultural variations in communication styles;

2)      to use the tool for comparing cultural values of their home and host culture;

3)      to explain how cultural dimensions affect classroom and/or placement interaction;

4)      to be aware of the skills that are important in cultural encounters and to use critical reflection to develop such skills before the exchange period.
